REMOTE ACCESS

 

DESCRIPTION:  The Remote Access gives the staff of Cogitate Inc. the ability to log into your computer (when you are there) and help you with problems you may be having.  ALWAYS CALL A COGITATE STAFF MEMBER BEFORE YOU START USING REMOTE ACCESS!

1. To access the REMOTE ACCESS, click on the radio button found on the bottom left-hand part of the Main Screen.

 

2. A confirmation screen asking you whether you want to allow this application to make changes to your device will appear on the screen.  Press YES to continuing the Remote Access process; press NO if you wish to cancel this process.

 

3. Once you say Yes from #2, you will see the following screen:

 

 

4. In the box will be listed all the different individuals from Cogitate Inc. that are available to hook up remotely.  DO NOT JUST PICK A PERSON TO HOOK UP REMOTELY WITH IF YOU AREN'T ALREADY ON THE PHONE WITH THEM, OTHERWISE THIS WILL GIVE THEM ACCESS AND THEY MAY BE WORKING WITH ANOTHER CLIENT.

 

5. Click on the individual's name that you are speaking with and then click CONNECT.

It may take a moment or two before they can see your screen, depending on your Internet speed.

 

6. REMEMBER:  Don't close that screen where the Cogitate staff members are listed until you are done with remote control.

 

7. REFRESH

At times you may have clicked on Remote Access before the Cogitate Staff member did.  In that case, their name wouldn't appear in the box.  Once the Cogitate Staff member is set up for Remote Access, you can click the Refresh button and their name should now appear in the box.

 

8. EXIT:  To exit out of Remote Access, simply click the 'X' in the top right-hand part of the screen.
